A Taxonomy Of Fisting Porn

Let’s talk about fisting, because it’s a lot more complicated than it sounds.

Porn sites in general — and especially video clip sites like Vporn and anywhere else you might go to search for the kind of porn you like — live and die by their descriptive keywords, their categories, and especially their tags. Gay Male Fisting: The Daddy Of Them All

I’ve got no basis to claim that gay men invented fisting. But I suspect they were the first to bring it into the light of day, in popular culture and pornography. Usually this involves one fist in one ass. Two fists in one ass, or two fists in two different asses, are sometimes seen in porn. Men like to show off after all.

Lesbian Fisting

Women fisting each other: female fists in pussies are — I’m told — a very common lesbian sex act. Lesbian anal fisting is certainly a thing, especially in porn, but apparently doesn’t have the sexual currency or cultural cachet in the lesbian community as it does among gay men. Double fisting (two fists in one hole, or one fist in each hole) is sometimes seen; how often it happens in lesbian bedrooms is not something I am qualified to have an opinion about.

Straight Fisting

In porn at least, almost the only time you see a woman with a fist in a man’s ass is in femdom porn. I’m not sure why that is; most men enjoy prostate stimulation and a woman’s hand in your ass wills stimulate the heck out of your prostate. Because women often have small hands and femdom porn seems to have no intensity limits at all, two fists in the same asshole aren’t particularly rare in femdom fisting porn.

You see less porn where men fist women, although there’s still plenty of it. A man’s fist in a woman’s pussy, especially, is less rare than a man’s fist in a woman’s ass. And in fifteen years of sex blogging, it’s only rarely that I’ve encountered any authentic-sounding sex writing suggesting that M/f anal fisting is something men and women often do together in their bedrooms with the cameras off. On the other hand a man’s fist, if it fits in a woman’s pussy, can be good for G-spot stimulation, and so that’s a relatively more common thing to hear about in public sex writing.
